Waterford Male Voice Choir
Waterford Male Voice Choir is now in its eleventh year of existence, and has become one of the premier male voice choirs in the country in that short period. From an initial group of just ten members, the choir has grown from strength to strength and now boasts a membership of over fifty, coming from various areas of east County Waterford, Ireland.
However the choir soon realised that it had the potential to be far more than originally thought, performing in two concerts and competing in the New Ross AIMS Festival in its first year. Since then it has performed in many local concerts including the annual Male Voice Choirs of Waterford Concert, performed with the Garda Band and various visiting international groups and has travelled twice to perform in festivals in Wales.
The choir has also had many successes at competitions; It achieved first place at New Ross and Arklow Choral Festivals on many occasions, and in May 2011 won the Male Voice competition at the prestigeous Cork International Choral Festival. We performed at the opening of the "Tall Ships",which took place in Waterford in July 2011 and were extremely well received. The choir has had successful overseas tours to Weybridge, Surrey and to Krakow, Poland in the last couple of years, and this is just the beginning!
The choir's music is drawn from around the world, with our wide repertoire being extremely broad and varied.
The launch of our first CD "Melodies and Memories" in 2010 was a milestone in our development, as a choir. It can be ordered through this site.
We hope that you enjoy our website and that you will revisit us on a regular basis.

“I love to hear a choir. I love the humanity to see the faces of real people devoting themselves to a piece of music. I like the teamwork. It makes me feel optimistic about the human race when I see them co-operating like that.”
Sir Paul McCartney (English Musician and Singer / Songwriter, b.1942)
